These are young men and women who collaborated with the Footprints Team and used ingenuity and determination, to win appointments and conduct interviews with the achievers. In the process they received some life lessons and may have many stories to tell.

Allan Mwendwa
Alan graduated in 2007 from the United States International University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. He currently works in the media on popular magazines such as Adam, Drum and True Love as well as a few online publications. Alan strives to be among the respected names in print and online journalism. He enjoys a good football match, sipping good whiskey, and has been known to show off his limited prowess at karaoke. Jason Sibi-Okumu
Jason is a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA and a former student at International School of Kenya (ISK). He aspires to be one of the country’s most innovative musicians and is the founder of the FIGO Foundation which is a non-profit organisation that seeks to support kidney patients. Jason was diagnosed with chronic renal failure in 2005 and in 2007 underwent a corrective kidney transplant in Bangalore, India where his mother was his kidney donor. PROFILED: PHILIP ILAKO

This self-proclaimed ‘easy guy’ is currently employed in a public relations agency in Nairobi and concurrently taking classes for a professional course in PR. He is a communications graduate from the University of Nairobi. Is curious, and likes to be up-to-date with current affairs. Jerry loves his family and looks forward to having one of his own when he’s good and ready. A trip to the Amazon jungle is earmarked on his bucket list, he also enjoys football, being a fan of Harambee Stars, Spain and Arsenal respectively. His heroes are Jane Orinda (his mother), Will Smith and Dr. Myles Munroe who said “I believe I am the world’s greatest yet most underestimated energy. A graduate of Sociology and Philosophy from the University of Nairobi, Paul completed his studies in 1999. He is a former student of the prestigious Starehe Boys Centre and initially took up photography in 2004 as a hobby then turned it into a career. Paul has worked with Drum, True Love, Twende, Adam and Move amongst others. He has exhibited his work in: “24Nairobi” 2008 and “Sustain Ability” 2010.
